Hazardous Waste Treatment and Recycling Systems and Services
The Process : Procedures
Samples are taken from contaminated materials, analyzed and verified if the amount of contamination is evenly distributed throughout the contaminated materials. After laboratory analysis, identification and verification of the amount of hazardous materials containing in such materials, a Treatment Recipe (TR) will be developed. The TR, contains certain selected effective chemicals and neutralizer material for absorbing and adsorbing the hazardous materials. The degree of effectiveness of the TR will be tested by preparing samples and analyzing them to identify the most effective and economical TR and final treatment solution.
The effectiveness of the neutralizers will be tested and selected to be sound and meet the required standard. After the TR effectiveness of different samples is verified the final recipe will be selected. The amounts of each TR components are then calculated and the Multi Stage Treatment System (MSTS) computer will be programmed on the components dosage, sequence and timing of mixing procedures. The computer controlled scale system measures then the weight of the contaminated waste and the weights of the neutralizers’ components accordingly. Thereafter, in a programmed sequence, the computer allows the neutralizer materials to be discharged into a specialized mixer and be mixed with the hazardous particles, whereby the neutralizer materials adsorb and react with contaminants on molecular basis within a programmed time limit.
The treated material can then be used as construction material, i.e. road beds, parking lots, sound barriers, storage
floors, etc. or processed further for production of paving stones, concrete blocks and other construction products.
Treatment of contaminated materials with GFN…inc technologies and the use of MSTS is very effective and economical
, particularly the treatment of more complicated mixtures of different contaminations, i.e. a mixture of oil-chemical-
heavy metals sludge, etc.
Using the treated materials for construction purposes makes the process even more lucrative. The treatment of vast
areas of contaminations, with MSTS and converting the wastes to useable products makes the process even more
economical and competitive.
